Chains turn several steps into one action
Commands can be joined with | into a tersaial Chain. Text output from one step becomes input for the next, and a completed pipeline can be saved and launched as its own action.
The Mac App Store edition permits Chains only from native sandbox-safe commands included in the Store build. Direct applies the same permission and trust policies to every step.
Permissions without surprise prompts
Tersa explains required access immediately before the action. Depending on the command, Direct may separately request Accessibility, Automation, selected file, network, or shell access.
The Mac App Store build does not use arbitrary shell execution, Apple Events targeting Terminal, iTerm, Finder, or Xcode, custom JavaScript, MCP, or executable package imports. Files are selected with the system picker.
Privacy and updates
Tersa will include no advertising, tracking, developer analytics, or automatic crash telemetry. Local diagnostics reach F1REFlY only when the user manually copies and sends them.
Direct will verify a signed appcast hosted on firefly.in.ua. The Store build will not contain Sparkle and will update only through the Mac App Store.
